Challenges

Our team of experts managed the client’s twenty-seven portfolio overview report for climate risk and managed their risk materiality and TCFD reporting. Our experts coordinated with the client due to the projects being in the western regions of the United States.

Solutions

EBI’s climate risk team performed a high-level review of potential climate change risks for the portfolio requested and took all the data acquired as part of researching VICI Properties climate risk and developed a report summarizing the findings and provided recommendations on what Climate Change Risk Assessments (CCRA) are required. Additionally, our team conducted a TCFD summary report for the property’s resiliency which included a summary of the appropriate quantitative/qualitative metrics and disclosures, materiality assessment of the property risk and language/images to incorporate into their annual ESG report and 10-k filings. Additionally, the TCFD report summarized energy usages that included scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and recommendations for transition risk management (regulatory compliance).

Outcomes

Our climate risk expert assisted the client in completing their sustainability report and played a key role in their TCFD disclosure reporting so that they meet all SEC standard requirements.
