EBI is pleased to announce that our Burlington Office has earned EPA's ENERGY STAR building certification for the third year in a row. EBI Consulting is committed to implementing sustainable business practices, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing our carbon footprint. In order to achieve or sustainability goals, EBI has implemented many energy and water conservation measures at our corporate headquarters, including upgrading lights to high efficiency fluorescent and LED fixtures, replacing light switches with occupancy sensors, and adjusting lighting timers and HVAC schedules. These measures not only allow us to decrease our operating costs, but they also allow us to reduce our environmental footprint.
What is ENERGY STAR Certification?
EPA's ENERGY STAR certification identifies buildings that perform in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency and that meet strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the EPA. On average, commercial buildings that earn EPA's ENERGY STAR certification use 35 percent less energy than typical buildings and also emit 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
