BURLINGTON, MA (April 22, 2021) – This Earth Day, EBI Consulting takes another step forward in our sustainability efforts and our mission to help our clients do the same.
Protecting and improving the environment has been foundational to our services since our inception in 1989. We are pleased to announce a new partnership with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. Our initial donation will plant 3,000 trees in California to support reforestation efforts after devastating wildfires, with ongoing donations to One Tree Planted’s efforts globally. These ongoing donations will be based on revenue from every Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Energy Audit completed in 2021.
This partnership is just one part of EBI’s journey toward long-term sustainability, and we’re looking to help our clients improve their governance and reduce their environmental impact. With a longstanding history of helping clients become more energy-efficient, reduce waste, understand their impact, and improve building efficiency through LEED certification and other means, we support client efforts with existing services including energy benchmarking, energy audits, commissioning, retro-commissioning, municipal energy compliance, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and system assessments.
As an industry leader, EBI is now working to expand our services to include Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) consulting to help clients develop and achieve ESG goals. Companies who monitor and improve their ESG performance have continually met and exceeded their financial goals by creating healthy workspaces for employees, benefitting their communities, and protecting the environment. With these expanded ESG offerings for clients, EBI will work to help them achieve even greater success.
By conducting an internal review of our own processes, EBI is committed to setting an example. We are analyzing our own ESG performance with B Corporation’s B Impact Assessment, allowing us to analyze our performance compared to industry peers and set goals for improvement. In doing so, we will not only improve our own practices, but will expand our services to better assist clients putting ESG and sustainability at the forefront of their mission.
