The Team

Rusty Wheeler has over 20 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering and with mechanical systems in a wide variety of structures. He has 13 years’ experience in commissioning of MEP systems that includes design reviews through functional testing of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment. His responsibilities include conducting commissioning kickoff meetings, ongoing commissioning meetings, working with contractors to resolve issues with functional testing of equipment, and review of contractor submittals to verify that new equipment meets project specifications. Rusty has worked on a wide range of commissioning and retro-commissioning projects including major federal facilities and large university buildings across multiple campuses. Rusty also has seven years of industrial and commercial design experience. This included generating new facility process drawings, performing design calculations, contacting equipment vendors for performance and specifications, and answering contractor RFI submissions.

Rusty earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida.
